Pop star Halsey made a glamorous appearance at the Hollywood premiere of her upcoming film "MaXXXine" at the TCL Chinese Theatre on June 24. This marks her first red carpet event since disclosing her lupus diagnosis earlier this month.

Halsey, who uses she/they pronouns, stunned in a retro-inspired outfit, wearing a sparkling gold skirt set with a sleeveless crop top featuring hip cutouts. The singer, known for hits like "Bad At Love," completed the look with big curly hair and a dramatic cat-eye.

The premiere of "MaXXXine," an A24 production, is a significant moment for Halsey as it is her first public appearance since revealing her health struggles on social media. On June 5, Halsey shared her diagnosis of Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, both of which she stated are currently being managed or in remission.

"I realize everyone is catching up with news I’ve held in for a very long time, and I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share,” Halsey wrote in an Instagram post. “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life.”

Despite these challenges, Halsey expressed gratitude for the support she has received and optimism about her future. "After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors. After 2 years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to," she shared, adding that she is eager to return to performing.

Halsey posed alongside her "MaXXXine" co-star Mia Goth at the event. The film, the third installment in the "X" franchise, features Goth as Maxine and Halsey as Tabby. Set in 1980s Hollywood, the thriller follows Maxine Minx, an adult film star and aspiring actress, as she navigates a series of murders that threaten to expose her past.

"MaXXXine" was first announced at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2022 during the premiere of its prequel, "Pearl." The new film is set to hit theaters on July 5, with a teaser trailer released by A24 showing Goth and Halsey in their '80s attire.
