At the premiere of her latest film "MaXXXine," Mia Goth discussed the ongoing delays surrounding Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated reboot of "Blade."

Scheduled for a theatrical release on November 7, 2025, as per ComScore, the production has faced setbacks, including the recent departure of director Yann Demange. Previously, Bassam Tariq had exited the project, though he remains involved as an executive producer despite originally slated for a fall 2022 production start.

Addressing these challenges in an interview with Deadline, Goth expressed confidence in the project’s team: “They really care, they do. They want to make a great movie. That’s the sense that I get from them and that feels good.”

In "Blade," Goth is set to make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Lilith, a pivotal character known in the comics for her role as a supernatural antagonist attempting to acquire the blood of Blade’s daughter.

Last year, "Blade" encountered further delays due to the Writers Guild of America strike. Eric Pearson, known for his work on "Agent Carter," "Thor: Ragnarok," and "Black Widow," is penning the script.

Meanwhile, "MaXXXine," co-written by Goth and director Ti West, sees the actress reprising one of her roles from "X." Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the film follows Maxine’s journey towards fame as she navigates the aftermath of previous events and pursues an acting career.
