Taylor Swift’s band and backup singers, known respectively as The Agency and The Starlights, have been integral to her music journey, both on and off the stage.

Despite Dave Grohl’s recent humorous remark about Foo Fighters’ “errors tour,” Swift’s Eras Tour boasts a team of dedicated musicians who have worked with her for years.

Swift’s ensemble is not just a group of hired hands; they have become a close-knit family. Many have been part of her music videos and supported her in the studio and on various stages worldwide.

Amos Heller, who plays bass and keyboards, has been with Swift since the early days. He shared on Instagram, “The first gig I did with you had wooden planks perched precariously on top of cinderblocks on a dirt race track. You were tireless, then as now.” His heartfelt post highlighted the long-standing friendship and professional relationship they share.

Paul Sidoti, the lead guitarist and vocalist, has been with Swift since 2007. Celebrating the birth of his son Sammy Sidoti in March, he expressed his joy on Instagram, “This morning, we welcomed our little miracle Sammy Sidoti into the world.”

Michael Meadows, another multi-talented member playing guitar, piano, and providing vocals, joined during the Fearless tour. David Cook, who handles piano and keyboards, began his journey with Swift during the Speak Now era in 2011.

Drummer Matt Billingslea has been a part of the team since the Red era, frequently updating fans on Instagram about the Eras Tour and celebrating Swift’s re-releases like Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). Guitarist Max Bernstein joined during the Reputation tour and continues to be an essential part of the group.

Newer additions include Karina DePiano, who joined as a keyboardist for The Eras Tour. Her Instagram post announcing her participation read, “It’s finally here. I am so honored to be playing keys for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour.”

The Starlights, Swift’s backup singers and dancers, have also shown immense dedication. Kamilah Marshall, who joined during the Red tour in 2013, has been part of every tour since. Melanie Nyema, another veteran, shared on Instagram, “What an absolute joy to ride this massive wave with you.”

Eliotte Nicole Woodford and Jeslyn Gorman round out The Starlights, with Woodford joining in 2013 and Gorman in 2018. Their contributions have been pivotal in creating the spectacular performances Swift is known for.

These musicians and singers, through years of dedication and talent, have become an indispensable part of Taylor Swift’s music and live performances, helping her create memorable experiences for fans worldwide.
