Aerial Visits: President arrives in Nawabshah

The president and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah will undertake an aerial visit of the flooded regions.

NAWABSHAH: President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Nawabshah on Wednesday to get a first-hand account of the widespread devastation caused by the rains. The president and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah will undertake an aerial visit. He will be briefed about the scale of the damage, what is being done to evacuate people and relief camps. He will also be informed about the crops, property, livestock and communication networks that have been destroyed. The president has been monitoring the situation and he has already directed the National Disaster Management Authority and the federal and the provincial governments to put all resources to work.
