Deputy chairman hopeful Senate's recommendations will be incorporated in Finance Bill

Says 45 members from both sides of the aisle participated in debate and provided valuable suggestions

ISLAMABAD:

Senate Deputy Chairman Syedal Khan Nasir said on Monday that the members of the Upper House had provided constructive suggestions regarding the federal budget for the next financial year.

“The Senate is a symbol of the federation. Hopefully, the recommendations sent from the Upper House will be incorporated into the Finance Bill,” he observed while chairing the Senate session.

The deputy chairman noted that 45 members from both sides of the aisle participated in the budget debate and provided valuable suggestions. He added that all members were given ample time to discuss the budget.

He said that they had fulfilled their responsibility by sending the Senate’s recommendations to the National Assembly, which hopefully be made part of the Finance Bill.
