Love Island USA: Here's why Rob Rausch choose Andrea Carmona over Leah Kateb

Things can change suddenly on Love Island USA, but viewers hope that some couples can withstand unexpected twists and turns.

Rob Rausch was a contestant in Season 5 but didn't find love. Returning as an original islander for Season 6, the snake wrangler appeared to be decisive, forming an initial connection with Leah Kateb on the first night.

Their relationship faced an immediate challenge when Olivia Walker entered the villa and caught his attention. Despite this, he remained faithful to Leah and even devised a discreet way for them to meet. 

Leah managed to couple up with him at the following ceremony, but their happiness was short-lived. Here's why Leah and Rob's bond could turn hostile.

Episode 8 of Love Island USA concluded with yet another coupling ceremony

The men who wished to pair up with Andrea Carmona or Nicole Jacky had to stand in front of the firepit.

Hakeem White parted ways with Olivia Walker, Kendall Washington separated from Hannah Smith, Kordell Beckam ended things with Serena Page, and Rob parted with Leah.

"I'm sorry," he murmured to her before standing up. Everyone appeared surprised. Andrea chose Rob because being around him gave her butterflies, and she found it effortless to converse with him.

Later, Rob glared at Leah, and she flinched. After the other women encouraged Leah to speak up, she told Rob, "F**k you."

The teaser for Episode 9 reveals Leah's reaction: "After I saw him crying like a b-tch on the floor, I literally got the ick," Leah shouts. The teaser also includes a clip of Rob kissing Andrea.

The tension between the exes on Love Island began when Rob discussed his date with Andrea with Leah. She was already aware that he had kissed Andrea from conversations among the women.

"But it doesn't take away from us," claimed the snake wrangler.

"But I do want to continue to get to know her." Leah felt deceived by Rob because he had assured her recently that she had nothing to worry about. Later that night, Leah interrupted his conversation with Andrea.

She criticized him for spending more time with Andrea despite his earlier assurances. "It's rare for me to like girl, especially off rip," he explained to Leah.

Rob took a break and cried because he felt ignored. Later, he told her that they didn't have a physical connection.
