Sargodha swing crash injures 19 children
As many as 19 children were injured after a swing collapsed at a recreational park at Model Bazaar in Jauharabad on Sunday.
Khushab Rescue 1122 Emergency Officer Hafiz Abdul Rasheed said the children were enjoying swings at the park when a swing collapsed all of a sudden. The children fell the ground.
As a result, 19 children were injured. Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and provided first aid to five children, while others were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Shabbir Rana, MPA Malik Asif Bhaa Awan and DSP Headquarters Madam Nighat Firdous visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured children.
The DC said a team had been formed for an inquiry.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Emergency Service District Sargodha Emergency Officer Mazhar Shah on Sunday stressed precautions to mitigate heat-related illnesses. He said that intense heatwaves were being reported across many parts of the globe due to global warming. Therefore, it is vital to raise awareness among people about the symptoms associated with extreme heat exposure. He added that tiredness, dizziness, muscle cramps, nausea, sweating, rapid heartbeat are its symbols.
