Body of kidnapped govt servant found in Lakki
The dead body of a kidnapped government employee has been found in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
Pir Zahid Ali Shah had been kidnapped a day ago by four armed men from Saray Nurang and his body found dumped at a deserted place in Ghazni Khel.
Police told The Express Tribune that the body had been found on the banks of the Kurram River and that the victim had been shot dead.
“We have received initial information that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) kidnapped him and then brutally killed him for spying on them,” said a police official, adding that a First Information Report (FIR) had been registered and police had started investigating the case.
Meanwhile, another government servant has been kidnapped at gunpoint from the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan).
“Veterinary assistant Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah has been kidnapped for ransom by unidentified armed men,” a police official said, adding that the victim had been travelling on his bike when he was abducted from the jurisdiction of Dera Town police station.
“His family has received a call in which the kidnappers have demanded ransom for his release,” the official added, saying that an FIR had been registered.
