Jesse Plemons displayed his recent weight loss at the New York City premiere of "Kinds of Kindness" at the Museum of Modern Art on June 20. Accompanied by his wife, Kirsten Dunst, the 36-year-old actor revealed that he had lost 50 pounds over the past year and a half.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Plemons attributed his health journey to his children, Ennis, 6, and James, 3. "I have much more energy [now] and, like I've said, I've got young kids, so I got to keep up with them," he stated. Plemons also noted the practical benefits of his weight loss: "Well, I'm not lugging 50 more pounds around."

At the premiere, Plemons wore a tailored black suit with a white button-down shirt and black leather loafers. Dunst, 42, appeared in a pale yellow silk gown with an asymmetrical neckline, cinched waist, and embroidered florals. She complemented her look with Old Hollywood glam styling, loose waves, deep red lipstick, and diamond stud earrings.

The premiere also featured Emma Stone, Plemons' co-star, who wore a long-sleeve black gown with intricate cutouts and detailing. Stone's look was completed with black strappy heels, diamond stud earrings, and a soft pink makeup palette.

Plemons, known for gaining weight for his role as Boston mobster Kevin Weeks in "Black Mass" (2015), shared that his recent fitness journey was driven by age and his role in the new drama "Civil War." He noted, "There was a part that I did that in my mind I could not imagine him as the size that I was." He credited intermittent fasting for his weight loss, saying it was effective and made him feel better. "Several people talked to me about intermittent fasting and I just gave it a shot and [was] surprised at how quickly it was effective," he explained.

Plemons also mentioned his concerns about his latest role in "Kinds of Kindness," directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. He feared the director might prefer his previous, heavier appearance but found that his thinner physique worked well for the film.
