On Friday night, Prince William celebrated his 42nd birthday by attending Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London. Early Saturday morning, Swift posted a selfie on Instagram to commemorate the occasion. The selfie included Prince William and his two eldest children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, along with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
"Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start🤝 @princeandprincessofwales," Swift captioned the photo. This marked the first Instagram post featuring Swift and Kelce since they were first linked in August of last year. The couple reportedly began dating after Kelce mentioned Swift on his podcast, New Heights, following an unsuccessful attempt to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Kansas City concert.
The official Instagram account of Prince William and Princess Kate, @princeandprincessofwales, also posted a behind-the-scenes photo of the event. The caption read, "Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour," and featured Swift with the three royal family members, excluding Kelce.
Additionally, Princess Kate posted a photo on their social media accounts showing Prince William jumping for joy with their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, 6—on a sandy beach. The photo, taken in Norfolk, England, in May, was shared with the caption, "Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much! Cx."
Kensington Palace confirmed to USA TODAY that the beach photo was captured by Princess Kate.
