Dr DisRespect has denied allegations that he was fired from Twitch in 2020 because he was caught sexting a minor, claiming that "no wrongdoing was acknowledged" and the topic was settled.

The sudden firing of Dr DisRespect, one of Twitch's biggest personalities, in 2020 left fans puzzled as no reason was given by the platform, making it one of the most significant upsets in Twitch history.

Recently, former Twitch staff member Cody Conners claimed on Twitter that Dr DisRespect was banned for sexting a minor through Twitch whispers and had plans to meet the minor at TwitchCon. Streaming reporter Jake Lucky highlighted this allegation, directly suggesting that it referred to Dr DisRespect. Beahm responded to Lucky's retweet, stating the matter was resolved with a contractual payout and no admission of guilt.

Dr DisRespect, whose real name is Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, continues to deny these claims. However, other sources have supported Conners' allegations. Former Twitch employee Zachary Diaz tweeted, "so glad it’s finally out there," and esports reporter Rod Breslau, who previously noted the sensitivity of the issue, commented, "I didn't lie."
