Over 150k tourists visit Kaghan Valley

Tourism Police deployed at nine locations in the valley to assist and guide visitors

Thousands of tourists visited Kaghan Valley during the Eidul Azha holidays, revitalisng various tourist spots. By the third day of Eid, the picturesque valley had welcomed approximately 150,000 visitors.

To ensure a smooth experience for the tourists, staff holidays were cancelled as per the instructions of the provincial government and Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) Director General Shabbir Khan. Tourism Police were deployed at nine locations in the valley to assist and guide visitors.

Khan emphasised the importance of providing all possible facilities to tourists, warning that negligence would not be tolerated. Deputy Director Aminul Hasan Khan said that on the first two days of Eidul Azha, 6,800 vehicles and 1,400 motorcycles entered Kaghan Valley, with the rush intensifying on the third day. By around 10am on the third day, 3,800 vehicles had entered popular destinations such as Shogran, Kaghan, Naran, Batta Kundi, Besar Jal Khad, and Babu Sir Top, bringing the total number of vehicles to over 15,000.

From New Balakot City to Babu Sir Top, the police department deployed 340 police personnel and 100 traffic personnel to manage the traffic and assist tourists. The significant turnout over the past three days indicates that this year could be a record-breaking year for tourism in the valley.
