He also called upon the well-to-do and affluent people to assist the government in this task. The President was talking to flood victims here at Zardari House after taking an aerial view of the flooded areas of Benazirabad district. Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Faryal Talpur were also present in the meetings with flood victims.
The president, who arrived here earlier in the day to witness the widespread devastation caused by the heavy floods in Sindh, took an aerial view of the flood devastated areas of Kazi Ahmad, Sakrand and Daur in Benazirabad district.
Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that President Zardari directed the Sindh CM to personally monitor the situation and ensure that the victims were given relief and rehabilitated.
The President, who will stay in Benazirabad tonight, besides meeting the flood victims’ families will also hold review meetings with concerned officials to assess the damage caused and review relief measures, including the scale of damage, measures being taken to evacuate the people still trapped, the relief camps set-up to provide shelter, food and health care to the displaced people.
He will also be informed about the vast scale damage to the crops, property, livestock and the communication network.
Earlier Zardari had directed the National Disaster Management Authority, the federal and the provincial governments to utilize all available resources to provide relief to the affected people.

This is way to work in a right direction because a huge gap between the rulers and ruled caused a much damage to the nation in past. Therefore, interaction with the people will enable the democracy to flourish.
The caption should have been something like
"President visits flood hit areas of Nawabshah only, ensures relief and rehabilitation for affectees of his home city"
They are discussing Zulifqar Mirza issue, care not the floods!
If you can in your computer, zoom into the part of the photo where Zardari's hand is in front of the window, specifically the part where his sleeve, the window, and the table meet. There is a thin white space surrounding Zardari's hand and sleeve. However, it does not continue to the remainder of Zardari's body which is not in front of the window. Maybe the backdrop in the window has been superimposed (replacing what was otherwise just plain sky in a normal-altitude flight).
maybe it's a fake hand .....
This photo is fake most probably a publicity stunt of government. We can clearly see this from the lighting / shadow detail on both faces and from Zardari's hand in front of window.
I concur with Ifti, it seems like Zardari and Shah both are sitting in cafe.
What nonsense! This is a fake photo; Mr Zardari's left hand is definitely not over the window as shown in the picture. Dear Tribune, would u tell us who took this photograph? APP? lol
Mr. President always flying ! why not dare go grounded ! He copy cat of ZA Bhutto’s Helicopter tours flood hit areas Pakistan in 1970’s Now in cyber information age people need actions no lip service
Purely this is a photo session!!! This is impossible that Zardari is so serious or worried about the poor nation of Pakistan!!!
Instead being on the gorund...the King is looking from the sky...but Inshallah the KING of KINGS will soon clip the wings of these pharoahs...
A photo session in the plane and the sufferers in deep waters.
The title of your article should read, "The president flies over flood hit areas...". Big difference!
Unfortunately nothing will happen. The suffering of "kammee Kammeen" voters will continue, while their elected leaders take aerial views,,
This is only first step in the right direction. All high officials of the govt should leave no stone unturned in helping the poor victims of floods. All these people should be treated fairly, respectuly and promptly. May God help them all.
