Justin Timberlake received a blow to his ego when, as reported by Page Six, the young police officer who arrested him for DWI in Sag Harbor early Tuesday did not recognize him by his face or name.

“Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour,’” a source told Page Six. “The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”

Certainly, the 43-year-old singer is scheduled to perform in Chicago this Friday and at Madison Square Garden next week, sources confirmed. However, his confidence might be shaken—particularly since his recent album, "Everything I Thought It Was," fell off the Billboard 200 after only four weeks.

Sources informed The Post that the singer and actor's career has not reached the expectations he had envisioned at this point.

“The album didn’t do too well, and I don’t see Justin getting big acting roles right now,” said a well-placed Hollywood insider. “I just think Justin has a bad reputation in Hollywood as a bit of a jerk and a pain in the ass.”

“He’s got a bit of an ego,” said an industry insider.

In recent days, highlighted by Timberlake's detached mug shot, it is evident that the former *NSYNC heartthrob is grappling with significant mid-life crisis concerns.

One of the foremost issues is reportedly the disappointment of his wife, actress Jessica Biel, who is said to be deeply troubled by her husband's behavior, as reported by US Weekly.
