Kylie Jenner breaks down on 'The Kardashians,’ talks facing constant body-shaming
On the latest episode of 'The Kardashians' aired on June 20, Kylie Jenner, 26, candidly addressed the persistent criticism she faces regarding her looks.
Breaking down in tears during a heartfelt conversation with her sister Kendall Jenner, Kylie revealed how deeply the public scrutiny affects her.
"It’s a miracle I still have confidence and can still look in the mirror and still think I'm pretty," Kylie confessed to Kendall during the episode, highlighting the toll that negative comments have taken on her self-image.
The reality star, who founded Kylie Cosmetics, shared her frustration over conflicting feedback on her makeup choices.
Following Paris Fashion Week last September, where she opted for a more minimalistic look, Kylie faced a wave of disparaging remarks. "I hear nasty things about myself all the time," she admitted in a confessional segment. "After 10 years of hearing about it, it just gets exhausting."
Kylie also discussed the ongoing scrutiny of her physical appearance, acknowledging the long-standing criticism dating back to her early teenage years. "People have been talking about my looks since I was 12 or 13, before I even got lip filler," she revealed.
Her sister Kendall offered support, emphasizing the resilience required in their industry. "Our family's been in the industry for a long time," Kendall noted. "Sadly it's something we need to grow tough skin on."
Despite the emotional toll, Kylie expressed determination to persevere. "I cannot let the comments get me down," she affirmed, gathering herself. "I've got s--- to do."
