Ariana Grande has officially released a remix of her song "The Boy is Mine," featuring the iconic R&B singers Brandy and Monica. Originally appearing on her album "Eternal Sunshine," the song sampled the classic hit by Brandy and Monica.

Many initially believed that Grande's song was a cover of the famous 1998 duet, given its title. However, while it isn't a direct cover, Grande has embraced the similarity by collaborating with Brandy and Monica for this remix. The remix is set to be released on Friday, as announced by Grande on her social media on Monday morning.

Brandy and Monica also make cameos in Grande's recently released “Batman”/“Catwoman”-themed music video for the song, which co-stars actor Penn Badgley. This collaboration had fans eagerly anticipating the remix.

In the chorus, the trio sings, “The boy is mine / I can’t wait to try him / Le-let’s get intertwined / The stars, they aligned / The boy is mine / Watch me take my time / I can’t believe my mind / The boy is divine / Boy is mine.”

Meanwhile, Grande has been hard at work promoting her upcoming role as Glinda the Good Witch in the first part of the long-awaited “Wicked” movie musical, opposite Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba.

Universal recently unveiled the first full trailer for the film, which finally showed Grande and Erivo singing two of the show’s anthems, “Popular” and “Defying Gravity.” The first installment of the film is scheduled for release on Nov. 27, 2024, with the sequel to follow on Nov. 26, 2025.

The remix has been highly anticipated by fans, who were thrilled to see the collaboration between Grande and the two R&B stars. The music video adds a visual element to the song, enhancing the experience for listeners and viewers alike.
