RHOSLC star Lisa Barlow and her brand Vida Tequila sued over $410K in alleged unpaid loans
Lisa Barlow, star of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” (RHOSLC), along with her brands Vida Tequila and Lux Marketing, is being sued by former friend and business partner Bart Carlson for allegedly unpaid loans totaling $410,842.36. The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, claims that Carlson loaned Barlow, Vida, and Luxe the amount between May 2010 and February 2018, according to TMZ.
Carlson alleges that he willingly lent Barlow the money without a repayment schedule due to their close relationship. Despite multiple requests for repayment over the years, Barlow reportedly informed Carlson that neither she nor her companies could afford to repay him.
In response to the lawsuit, the 49-year-old reality TV personality expressed her dismay. “Bart Carlson was once a business partner in a restaurant in Park City and, I thought, a friend. I am deeply saddened that he has decided nine years after our restaurant business ceased to claim that I owe him money,” Barlow stated to Page Six.
The legal situation marks a significant conflict between the former business partners, with Carlson seeking repayment of the alleged loans.
