Simone Biles, the Olympic gymnast, is set to return to the world stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics after her withdrawal from several events in Tokyo due to mental health concerns. Her inspiring comeback story will be unveiled in the Netflix docuseries "Simone Biles: Rising," premiering on July 17th.

The four-part series offers a candid look at Biles' intense training regimen, her unwavering support system, and her life outside the gym with NFL player husband Jonathan Owens.

The trailer reveals Biles' early intuition about the challenges she would face at the 2020 Olympics. "I've always had really good intuition about things, and unfortunately I felt that way about the Olympics," she shares.

Her road to recovery wasn't smooth, with Biles admitting she wanted to quit "500,000 times." However, her support network, including former teammate Aly Raisman, kept her motivated. Raisman acknowledges the immense pressure Biles faces but praises her resilience in attempting a comeback.

Despite the mental and physical hurdles, Biles remained determined. "I knew it would be a long journey," she says, "but to me it wasn't done."

The docuseries also delves into Biles' personal life, showcasing her joyous wedding and moments with Owens. She emphasizes that her life extends beyond gymnastics, declaring, "It's not all about gym. Like, life moves on."

"Simone Biles: Rising" promises an intimate portrayal of an athlete's battle with mental health, her relentless pursuit of excellence, and her quest to find balance between her career and personal life.
