Traumatised camel cries when it sees people

The injured camel brought from Sanghar is still afraid to come out of its stall at the animal shelter due to fear of mistreatment.

The traumatized camel starts crying and screaming when she sees a crowd or a new person approaching.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has praised the provincial government for taking responsibility for the camel's treatment and has also demanded that the real culprits be brought to justice.

Sheema Khan, head of the CDRS Animal Shelter Home, said that the camel is traumatized after the incident and is frightened by the crowd and new people, but her wounds are being treated and she will be given an artificial leg once her wounds heal.

The camel is being given milk and juice, and it is a good sign that she is eating and her appetite is good despite being in pain. Her wounds are being dressed, but she has become severely dehydrated.

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori visited the CDRS Animal Shelter Home in Memon Goth, Karachi, and said that he had come to inquire about the treatment of a she-camel that was brutally beaten and had its leg cut off.

He stated that the incident of animal brutality last week was shameful and that he would take steps to ensure that the culprits are brought to justice. He praised the animal shelter staff for their efforts and announced that he would bear the expenses of the camel's treatment, including the cost of an artificial leg.

The governor reported that he had spoken to the UAE Consul General and other officials and that they were working together to help the camel. He added that if necessary, the camel would be sent to Dubai for treatment.

He appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the incident and ensure that justice is served. He also appreciated the efforts of the animal shelter staff and the support of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
