A mild earthquake struck near Karachi on the evening of Wednesday. The quake registered a magnitude of 3.2 and had a depth of 42 kilometres.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), its epicentre was located 32 kilometres southwest of Karachi, at latitude 24.62 N and longitude 66.88 E.
No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been received.
Earlier in the day, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake measuring struck Islamabad and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa with its epicentre located in southeastern Afghanistan.

The tremors were felt across various regions including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Malakand, North Waziristan, Parachinar, Lower Dir, Hangu, Charsadda, and Swabi.
There were no initial reports of damage or casualties.
The quake's depth was recorded at 98 km underground. According to the US Geological Survey, the seismic activity was also felt in neighbouring countries such as Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
