Five killed in Kurram roadside blast
At least five people were killed and two others suffered injuries on Sunday when a roadside bomb went off on Koram Road in Kurram district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details, they were all travelling in a passenger vehicle and rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene as soon as they learnt about the tragic incident.
The rescue officials confirmed two deaths, adding that the injured were shifted to a local hospital for medical assistance.
They added that the condition of four of the injured people was serious.
At the hospital, three more people passed away.
Three of the people who lost their lives in the explosion have been identified as Saeedullah, Zakaria, and Hasnain.
The injured men have been identified as Naveedullah and Saqibullah.
On June 9, nine people, including seven army personnel, were injured in two separate terrorist attacks in Kurram and Dera Ismail Khan districts of K-P.
Unidentified terrorists attacked a security forces check post in the Kurram district at night leaving seven personnel injured. The attack was repulsed after a heavy exchange of fire, forcing the attackers to flee under the cover of darkness.
A contingent of the army was sent to the area as reinforcement that shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
