In a tragic event at the district court in Attock, two well-known lawyers, Malik Israr Ahmed and Zulfiqar Marza, were fatally shot by an Elite Force personnel.
Malik Israr Ahmed, a respected advocate of the High Court and former President of the Punjab Bar Council, was targeted while within the courthouse premises.
According to the police, the accused Intizar Shah was an Elite Force personnel who entered the lawyer's chamber and opened fire on the lawyer due to a family feud.
The accused was promptly apprehended, and an FIR has been registered in which terrorism provisions have also been added.
The accused was posted on VIP security in ASI Elite Commandos and used an official weapon in the incident.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took immediate notice of the incident and ordered strict action against the accused Intizar Shah.
