Former US President Donald Trump has shared a notable interaction he had with UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

"Khabib came up to me after the fight the other night," Trump recounted during a recent interview on Logan Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast,

"He said, 'We have to stop the wars, we have to stop the killing.' He's so smart, he understood it." Trump highlighted Khabib's close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding, "He said we have to stop the killing, and it's true."

Trump confidently asserted that he would end the Russia-Ukraine conflict swiftly if elected president again. "I think I'd have that war stopped right after the election. If I win, I'll get it stopped fast before I get to office if it's not stopped before then," he promised. He emphasised the urgency of ending the conflict, stating, "So many people are being killed, far more than we realise."

Despite this, Trump remains a strong contender in the 2024 presidential race, aiming for a nonconsecutive second term.

His statements on the potential for peace have sparked discussions about his foreign policy approach and the feasibility of his promises.
