‘Tere Bin 2’ is very much alive: Makers rubbish new season’s cancellation rumours
Steadily becoming one of the most popular offerings of Pakistani television, Tere Bin has achieved unprecedented fame and broken viewership records. In December, the excitement reached a fever pitch when the team officially announced the eagerly anticipated Season 2.
Sharing tantalising pictures of lead actors Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi, the showrunners brought tidings of a new saga for the beloved couple Murtasim and Meerab. However, fans’ initial excitement quickly turned to disappointment as they had hoped for a teaser or trailer for the new season. But is the disappointment to last? Fortunately no, as per the man running the show.
“Tere Bin 2 is very much alive; cancellation is a hoax,” told Abdullah Kadwani in an interview with DIVA, the distinguished producer from 7th Sky Entertainment. Over the last couple of weeks, the social media buzz around the hit drama gave way to rumours about a potential cancellation.
Addressing these rumours directly, Kadwani firmly dispelled the cancellation gossip, ending the wave of confusion and concern among the dedicated Yumhaj fandom. Directed by Sirajul Haque, Tere Bin had captivated audiences in December of the previous year, swiftly becoming a sensation across the country.
Despite some criticism, the performances of Ali and Zaidi portraying Murtasim and Meerab, earned widespread acclaim. Kadwani expressed his commitment to delivering new standards of excellence in the upcoming run, acknowledging the unwavering support of fans worldwide.
In a series of pictures shared by Kadwani, Zaidi and Ali were seen twinning in black, holding the clapperboard. Kadwani captioned the post, “Alhamdulillah, the most awaited announcement of the year is finally here. Your all-time favourite couple, Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali, the one and only #Yumhaj with their unmatched on-screen chemistry, are back with a bang in Tere Bin Season 2.”
