BTS' Jin completes military service and is welcomed by a saxophone serenade of ‘Dynamite’

Kim Seok-jin, better known as Jin, the oldest member of the South Korean sensation BTS, was discharged from his mandatory military service on Wednesday, June 12th. The 31-year-old singer-songwriter was warmly welcomed by his fellow bandmates, RM, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, who celebrated his return with a special saxophone rendition of their hit song, "Dynamite."

Jin, who began his military service in December 2022, quickly reconnected with fans through a livestream on Weverse from HYBE's headquarters. During the emotional broadcast, he confessed to shedding tears upon his discharge, stating, "I'm normally more handsome than this, but I cried when I was discharged. My eyes are puffy. I usually have confidence in my face, but I'm less confident today."

The BTS members, who are also currently serving in the military, had requested time off to celebrate Jin's return. However, due to safety concerns, they opted for a private celebration in a closed setting, discouraging fans from gathering outside the military location.
