Young Thug's father defends Gunna and joins him onstage in Atlanta
Despite the persistent "snitching" allegations that have surrounded Gunna for months, Young Thug's father, Jeffery Williams Sr., has continued to show support for the rapper.
Gunna faced these allegations after taking a plea deal at the end of 2022 following his arrest on RICO charges alongside 27 other alleged YSL members, including Young Thug.
Although Gunna has denied turning his back on his co-defendants, the controversy has undeniably impacted his reputation.
In an interview with Infamous Sylvia in September of last year, Williams Sr. defended Gunna, stating, "I love Gunna," and insisted that the rapper had done nothing to harm his son's case.
This defense did little to quell the controversy at the time, but Williams Sr. has once again demonstrated his loyalty by attending one of Gunna's recent performances in Atlanta.
A viral clip from the event shows Williams Sr. energetically dancing to Gunna's 2021 collaborative track with Young Thug, "Ski," as the crowd cheered him on.
His enthusiastic support for Gunna highlights his ongoing commitment to the rapper, regardless of public opinion.
Gunna echoed this sentiment in an interview with XXL earlier this year, where he affirmed that his relationship with Young Thug remains unchanged.
"It's the same. It's love, always," Gunna stated.
