John Krasinski opens up about parenting while travelling for work

In a recent episode of the Pop Culture Moms podcast, actor John Krasinski shared his thoughts on parenting while travelling for work. The "Free Guy" star, who shares two daughters with wife Emily Blunt, emphasised the importance of open communication and shared responsibility within their family.

Krasinski acknowledged the difficulty of being away from his children for work but stressed that both he and Blunt view parenting as a team effort. "There is no mom or dad guilt,"he said. "It's us, you know, as a family, we're all in it together."

The actor explained that he and Blunt have had numerous conversations with their daughters about the nature of their work, emphasising that while some jobs require physical absence, others may demand long hours or weekend commitments. "So, we're all in it together, just in different aspects as parents," he stated.

Rather than focusing on guilt, Krasinski views his work-related travels as an opportunity to show his children the value of pursuing one's passions. "When they see why you go away is because it's something you love, then that'll inspire them to do the most important thing, I think, which is whatever they decide to do in their lives, just love it," he shared.

For Krasinski, the ability to have unique experiences and opportunities through his career is a significant bonus that outweighs the challenges of being away from home. "If you love it, then you get to have experiences like Emily and I get to have, and that would be the biggest bonus of going away all the time for work," he concluded.
