After just eight months of being married, Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife, Firerose, are going their separate ways.

According to reports from People magazine and Entertainment Tonight, Cyrus mentioned irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital behavior as the main factors behind the separation.

Why did Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose divorce?

The pair, who got married in October 2023, officially parted ways on May 22. Despite their relatively recent marriage, Cyrus claimed in his divorce petition that the marriage consent was obtained under false pretenses.

As reported by ET, the Grammy-winning singer is obligated to offer spousal support to Firerose during their divorce proceedings. Following their separation, Cyrus will provide temporary lodging expenses for his estranged wife, who had to vacate their shared residence. He will pay her $500 per night for 10 nights while she looks for alternative accommodation.

Furthermore, Cyrus will allocate $5,000 monthly to the Australian singer to secure appropriate housing in the middle Tennessee vicinity for a duration of 90 days or until the divorce is finalized.

Prior to his involvement with Firerose, Cyrus was wed to manager and producer Tish Cyrus from 1993 until April 2022, when they initiated divorce proceedings, citing irreconcilable differences.

Cyrus and Tish share five children: Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison, and Noah. Brandi and Trace are Tish's children from a previous relationship, whom Billy Ray adopted.
