The departure of Bill Belichick from the New England Patriots has not only marked a pivotal change in leadership but has also ushered in a notable shift in the team's culture.

This was vividly illustrated when rapper Gunna joined the Patriots for a workout session at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.

Known for his hit "Never Recover," Gunna lifted weights and ran drills alongside professional players.

This unique blend of music and sports caught the eye of many, including former NFL star Cam Newton, who offered his take on the rapper's presence.

"I f**k with Gunna, though. Anything from Atlanta, bro, I’m supportive of it, but get your a** on off that football field now," Newton said.

"Like, damn, they kind of got some game. I mean, they all got some measure of athleticism, but when you’re talking about a full-blown athlete just doing a simple karaoke, it’s different," Newton further commented.

Discussions then veered towards whether such an informal event would have been possible under Belichick's tenure, with Newton decisively stating, “No, no. Kinda want to not motherf***ing speed it up.”

Meanwhile, within the Patriots, criticisms regarding Belichick’s recent coaching decisions have emerged, particularly from Damian Harris.

He attributed the struggles of quarterback Mac Jones, who was recently traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, to poor coaching decisions following the departure of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

“You took away an offensive coordinator who coached him to be a Pro Bowler and almost coached us to winning our division with a rookie quarterback in his first year,” Harris stated.
