The music industry faces a somber moment as Gucci Mane announces the untimely death of rapper Enchanting, also known as Channing Nicole Larry, at the young age of 26.
Formerly a shining star under Mane’s 1017 Records, Enchanting's life came to a tragic end after complications related to an overdose led to her being taken off life support.
“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting,” Gucci Mane expressed his sorrow on Instagram, sharing memories of the Fort Worth, Texas-based artist.
Enchanting's struggle with addiction was highlighted in a statement from her management to The Shade Room: "She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried."
Her battle included a recent hospitalization following her overdose, as noted in the post.
Having signed with 1017 Records in 2020, Enchanting's career was marked by her appearances on three compilation albums and her solo project, 'Luv Scarred/No Luv,' released last year.
Known for her unique "Trap-n-Blues" style, she began her musical journey at 18.
Enchanting once shared with 1017 Records, “Other people can relate to the things I say. I might help somebody through any situation, they can listen to me and find peace.”
