‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ star Tommie Lee arrested for battery outside Miami club
‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ personality Tommie Lee, born Atasha Jefferson, faced battery charges on June 10 outside Miami's Club LIV, as reported by NBC 6, Local 10, and 7 News Miami.
Lee, 39, was apprehended at 4441 Collins Ave.LIV after 2 a.m., according to arrest records obtained by Local 10.
The former ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ star allegedly approached an unfamiliar man and offered him something, which he declined. Subsequently, Lee reportedly grew confrontational, poking him in the face, using profanity, and making threats of harm. Local 10 reported that the man managed to restrain her until law enforcement arrived.
Following an assessment of surveillance footage that supported the victim's account, Lee was arrested for battery and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without further incident.
While appearing on Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta in 2016, Tommie Lee disclosed that she had been arrested nearly 30 times.
Prior to her recent arrest on Monday, Jefferson faced legal issues in January 2019 when she was indicted on various charges, including aggravated assault, child cruelty, battery, aggravated stalking, and disrupting a public school. These charges stemmed from allegations that she shoved her child's head into a metal locker and dragged her by her hair. AJC.com reported on these allegations.
