RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice's husband takes $1 Million loan on their home amid financial troubles
Luis Ruelas, husband of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, has taken out a $1 million loan on their $3.4 million home in Montville.
The revelation coincides with several other reports regarding the couple's purported financial troubles.
Ruelas and Giudice tied the knot in 2022 following Giudice's divorce from her ex-husband, Joe Giudice. In the RHONJ Season 14 trailer, Margaret Josephs was shown suggesting that Ruelas had “pissed Teresa’s money away.”
Hence, it's evident that Ruelas's financial challenges will likely unfold in the ongoing 14th season of the show.
Regarding the Montville mansion, Giudice and Ruelas acquired the property in 2021 under an LLC, with Ruelas being its sole member.
The opulent estate features seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms and was initially purchased without a loan. Although the mortgage specifics at the time of purchase are undisclosed, recent court documents show that a $1 million loan was secured on March 25, 2024.

The documents also disclose that Ruelas, acting as an independent contractor, recently offered services to initiate a live-streaming app named Vinivia through his firm Digital Media Solutions.
In 2023, Ruelas' firm, Digital Media Solutions, faced a lawsuit alleging harassment. Giudice has indicated that Ruelas has encountered financial difficulties following his job loss, which pertains to the company.
Giudice, who served time for various federal fraud charges, purportedly still has an outstanding debt of $615,720 to the federal government as of October 2023, despite having already repaid a substantial portion.
Despite these challenges, the couple presents a united front in public, and Teresa Giudice has recently refuted claims that her husband exhausts all of her finances.
Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Bravo in the U.S. on Sundays and can be streamed the following day on Peacock.
