Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has made a successful recovery from a side strain injury and is set to play in the crucial match against India on Sunday in New York during the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Imad's injury, sustained during a training session, kept him out of the final T20i against England and also led to his precautionary rest during Pakistan's opening World Cup match against the United States on Thursday.

Despite these setbacks, Imad committed himself to an intensive recovery regimen, practising alongside his teammates. Team management has now confirmed that he is fully fit and ready for the high-stakes encounter against India.

In their T20 World Cup opener, Pakistan set a target of 160 runs, which the USA matched on the final ball, finishing at 159-3.

In the Super Over, the USA faced Mohammad Amir and scored 18-1. Pakistan, in response, managed only 13-1, losing the match by five runs.
