Nearly three years after her solo debut, LISA of BLACKPINK is gearing up for a return with new music.

On Thursday (June 6), the K-pop star excited fans by posting a minimalistic teaser on her Instagram Stories, simply stating, “Coming soon: LISA.”

The teaser graphic included links to pre-save the unnamed project on Spotify and Apple Music, and the same teaser is displayed on her official website and her LLOUD management page.

Signaling the start of her new era, LISA also shared a video on TikTok.

The clip, paired with a gritty synth beat titled “Coming Soon,” shows her posing inconspicuously in a stylish outfit.

LISA first made waves in September 2021 with her singles “Lalisa” and “Money,” released via YG Entertainment and Interscope Records.

“Money” became the first solo K-pop hit to surpass a billion streams on Spotify in 2023, and its music video recently hit a billion views on YouTube.

In addition to her solo success, LISA collaborated on the single “SG” with DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Megan Thee Stallion in 2021, and joined BIGBANG’s Taeyang on the track “Shoong!” in 2022.

Currently, LISA and her BLACKPINK bandmates JENNIE, JISOO, and ROSÉ are on a break from group activities following the release of their Billboard 200-topping album 'Born Pink' in 2022.

In April, LISA signed with RCA Records for her upcoming solo projects, securing a deal that allows her to retain ownership of her master recordings.

“I’m super excited to be joining the RCA family, and I am confident they are the best team to create a bigger movement in my solo career,” LISA said in a statement at the time. “Looking forward to showing the world everything we have been preparing.”
