This achievement marks the biggest series premiere for Disney+ in 2024, surpassing the previous record held by "Ahsoka," which averaged 2.8 million views per day in its first five days.

"The Acolyte" has garnered critical acclaim, with Variety's Alison Herman praising its innovative approach to Star Wars lore and comparing it favourably to "Andor" and "The Last Jedi." The series has also been lauded for its action-packed sequences, particularly its emphasis on hand-to-hand combat with a martial arts flair.
