A special judge in Rawalpindi on Thursday issued a show-cause notice to an FIA Inspector for arresting two brothers on the court’s premises despite having no case against them.
Special Judge Central Rawalpindi Amjad Ali Shah issued the show-cause notice to FIA Inspector Rehana Kausar who arrested two brothers Yasrab and Sohail at the door of the court after submitting a written statement in the court that no case was registered against the two brothers. The court also summoned the FIA official along with the record on June 12.
A contempt of court petition was also filed against the female Inspector. According to the petition, the Inspector raided the house of two brothers after arresting them and took away all valuables.
Their father Tufail Ahmed Charagh, who was a travel Agent, died of a heart attack while coming from Dubai to Pakistan. A citizen claimed Rs200,000 against the deceased. The FIA officer asked Yasrab and Sohail to pay the amount to the complainant. The officer found a stamp paper of refund of the said amount while checking the record of the travel agency office and submitted it to the court during the hearing. She also informed the court that both the brothers had no other case to face. The judge approved the bail of both the brothers.
As soon as these brothers came out of the court’s room, Inspector Rehana took both of them into custody and left. Their lawyers filed an application with the court for immediate recovery. The court then issued the show-cause notice to the lady Inspector for cheating the court and summoned her with the complete record.
