TANDLIANWALA:

The owner of a beauty saloon has been booked on the charge of thrashing an employee who had quit her job to work at another parlour.

According to the complainant, the victim’s former employer along with two accomplices barged into her workplace, thrashed her and dragged her out of the parlour by her hair. The attackers also manhandled another worker present there.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, after which the Batala Colony police registered a case.

The victim, Shabana Kausar, told the police that she used to work at the beauty salon of Sobia in Batala Colony.

She alleged that the suspect had asked her to indulge in immoral acts, because of which she had quit her job two months ago and started working at the other beauty parlour.

She stated that the attackers had also take away her gold chain and threatened to take her life.

The police said they were striving to arrest the suspects.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against six people, including a former police official in Samundri, for detaining and extorting Rs550,000 from four citizens. The victims included the brother and son of a warehouse owner involved in the scrap business.
