Ayo Edebiri's much-anticipated directorial debut is on the horizon. The actress, who plays chef de cuisine Sydney Adamu on the critically acclaimed FX series "The Bear," will take the helm for episode 6 of the upcoming third season, titled "Napkins."

Edebiri, 28, first confirmed her directorial endeavour in a Vogue profile back in March, sharing a story of how "The Bear's" director, Chris Storer, recognized her potential early on. She recounted their initial meeting when she was 21 years old: "He told her that, 'You're a director' [and] I was like, 'Mind your business, bro.'"

Storer's encouragement continued last season, with him inviting her to come to set and see what happens. This led Edebiri to realise her passion for directing.

Season 3 of "The Bear" will follow the continued journey of Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and Sydney as they navigate the challenges of running their newly transformed restaurant.

Edebiri's directorial debut is a testament to her growing talent and versatility in the entertainment industry. Fans eagerly anticipate her unique perspective and creative vision in this exciting new role.
