Sources close to Pitt revealed to PEOPLE that his disappointment over Shiloh's name change, emphasising his desire for a daughter and the pain of feeling disconnected from his children. However, these comments sparked backlash for failing to acknowledge Zahara, whom Pitt and Angelina Jolie adopted before Shiloh's birth.
