“I think we have to speak about the swan wig,” Rosheuvel tells People when asked about her favorite looks from the Netflix show, ‘Bridgerton.’
“I mean, that’s like a genius moment of beautiful crafting, storytelling,” Rosheuvel shared, mentioning Erika Ökvist, one of the show’s hairstylists.
“That took two years in the making for it to all be signed off,” said the actress. “‘Cause it’s certain departments that have to be involved in making that. There’s a battery pack that has to be made, there’s wires that have to be connected.”
Talking about Ökvist’s vision, she said, “She always wanted to make a wig with machinery, but what that was evolved through the two years, and we eventually ended up with what you see onscreen.”
For ‘Queen Charlotte,’ her outfit was easy for her to pull off.
“It’s not that heavy,” she says while smiling. Rosheuvel appreciates Ökvist for the lightweight design, stating that “the mechanism isn’t in the wig.”
While sharing what’s next in the series, Rosheuvel said, “I think there’s going to be some triumphant moments, and I think there’s going to be some revealing moments.”
“And I think a lot will come out to empower the queen and many more of the characters in the show,” the ‘Queen’ continued.
Bridgerton season 3, first part is streaming on Netflix, with part two releasing on June 13.
