Renowned rapper J. Cole, known for his down-to-earth demeanor, encountered a surprising lack of recognition during a recent visit to a Tesla dealership.

While exploring options for the much-anticipated Cybertruck, the Dreamville founder was overshadowed by staff who failed to recognize him.

A fan who was present captured the moment, sharing a video with the caption, “J. Cole & I shopping for Teslas at the same time while the manager kept ignoring him because he didn’t know who he was & continued persuading me to place the order for a car.”

This incident is not an isolated one in Cole's experiences blending into public settings.

Despite his celebrity status, he has been spotted in various everyday scenarios, engaging in activities any regular person would.

Last month, another fan posted a video on TikTok showing Cole quietly sitting on a beach with his laptop, likely working on new music.

The video, showcasing a serene beach scene before revealing the rapper, quickly went viral.

Cole's inclination to stay out of the spotlight was evident when he decided to step back from the high-profile rap feud involving his peers, Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

After releasing a diss track titled “7 Minute Drill,” Cole publicly apologized to Lamar during his performance at the Dreamville Festival, expressing regret over the move.

“I’m so proud of ‘Might Delete Later’, except for one part. It’s one part of that shit that makes me feel like, man, that’s the lamest shit I did in my fuckin’ life,” he confessed to the crowd.
