Selena Gomez has revealed that she maintains close friendships with “levelheaded people.”

The ‘People You Know’ singer confessed that her close friends don’t “give two f–ks” about her being a star.

“It’s a cliché, but girls are mean,” Gomez told Time.

“It’s a very weird competition, being in the cool girls area — and then I’m just kind of like, there. I don’t know where I’m meant to belong,” the ‘Love On’ singer added.

The singer shared that her close friends include a casting director, a producer and real estate agent.

“You could be in a crowd of people and still feel alone. I still deal with that,” Gomez said while talking about loneliness.

“You can distract yourself and you can deny and deny all you want, but it’ll still be there,” she added. “I just allow myself to have those days,” said the singer, discussing the feeling of a heartbreak.

Gomez disclosed that she had been considering her journey to motherhood even before entering a relationship with Benny Blanco.

The ‘My Mind And Me’ singer shared that she had previously contemplated adopting a child by the age of 35, even when she was single.

“I was alone for five years and I got really used to it,” she spoke to the outlet. “A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.”

Selena has been dating Benny Blanco since 2023.
