Another rap beef? Cardi B takes a shot at rapper BIA

Cardi B's new verse heats up the summer with fiery lyrics! is it rap beef with BIA?

Cardi B's verse on the "Wanna Be (Remix)" with Megan Thee Stallion and Glorilla has sparked speculation of a rap feud between Cardi B and rapper BIA.

The latter line may be a reference to a BIA song from April where she rapped "How you say you runnin’ down but you can’t walk on the beat," which some interpreted as a dig at Cardi B. Cardi B previously expressed interest in rapping over the beat to Ice Spice's "Munch" but reportedly struggled to find a suitable flow.

Shortly after the remix's release, BIA posted on social media, seemingly responding to Cardi B's lyrics. She wrote, "B—- IS WACK. B—-IS TRASH. I SHOULD HANG B—- RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY A–," referencing lyrics from Cardi B's song "Clout."

BIA also shared a video with the "Wanna Be" instrumental playing in the background, featuring a battle rapper delivering a line that fell flat with the audience. This has been interpreted as a metaphor for Cardi B's alleged diss track.

The two rappers have a history. Last year, BIA addressed rumors of friction between them, stating, "I didn't switch up on anybody because I don't know Cardi in real life" (source: BIA's March 2023 Instagram live). Despite this, there have been ongoing barbs exchanged. In March 2024, Cardi B released a freestyle sampling Missy Elliot's "She's A B—-," which some fans claimed mimicked BIA's prior use of the same sample. BIA responded on social media with "." Cardi B later posted, "B—- make a fool of themselves every single time .. ima show ya something when I release this song tho"
