Taylor Swift, the global pop icon, was spotted in London supporting her close friend Cara Delevingne during one of her final performances in "Cabaret" at the Kit Kat Club.
Swift, 34, made a special appearance at the Playhouse Theatre on Friday, May 31, to watch Delevingne, 31, portray the iconic role of Sally Bowles, originally made famous by Liza Minnelli.
The presence of Swift at the West End theater set social media abuzz with excitement.
Arthur Jones, the head of marketing at the Kit Kat Club, confirmed Swift’s attendance on X (formerly Twitter), adding to the thrill of the night.
Fans were quick to express their delight, with one even getting a confirmation from Jones that Swift stayed for the entire show.
Delevingne has been embodying Sally Bowles since March 11, adding her name to the list of actresses who have taken on the challenging role in this award-winning production of "Cabaret" by Rebecca Frecknall and Tom Hughes, which debuted in London in 2021.
Swift and Delevingne's friendship has been well-documented over the years, marked by numerous public outings.
Earlier this year, Delevingne was seen supporting Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
On her role in "Cabaret," Delevingne shared with Harper's Bazaar, "In theatre, more than movies, I have found myself more drawn to tenacious but very flawed characters."
She added, "I feel I can put all my pain and fear into the performance. There are so many layers to her. She is extremely powerful, but my God, is she broken and vulnerable. She's a child — a little girl, and that is the saddest part of it all. I definitely [recognize] myself in that."
