Police say two members of a family were shot dead over old enmity

ISLAMABAD:

Four people died and two teenagers suffered injuries in separate incidents in the federal capital on Friday.

According to the police, a family from Karak district was targeted over an old enmity. Police said that armed men shot and killed Aamir Aziz and his four-year-old nephew Sadiq and injured Aziz’s 13-year-old son, Anas and his eight-year-old niece Hamdia.

Police have registered a case against 10 men, including Imran Samad, Asim Samad, Ismail Kashif, Sajjad Rehman and Shoaib on the complaint of the deceased's wife. Police haven’t made any arrests so far.

On the same day, a man named Abdul Ghafoor was gunned down in the Mira Begwal area of Phalgran. The police arrested Faizan, the victim’s son and he is being interrogated.

Meanwhile, the body of a man was recovered from the drain of the petrol pump in the jurisdiction of Karachi Company police station. Police said that the body is at least three days old. The cause of the deceased’s death and his identity have yet to be ascertained. The body was shifted to PIMS Mortuary.

In another incident, a resident of Lower Dir, who was working at a construction site near Jhangi Syedan Ewan Chowk in the limits of Noon police station, died due to electrocution. The body was handed over to his family.

In another separate incident, a labourer, Hayat, lost his life after falling from the eighth floor of a building in the Gulberg Green area of Koral police station. The body was shifted to a nearby hospital for completing medico-legal formalities.
