Eminem's new track sparks backlash with Megan Thee Stallion shooting reference

Eminem faces criticism for 'disgusting’ mention of Megan Thee Stallion shooting in latest song ‘Houdini.’

Eminem's latest track ‘Houdini’ has ignited controversy after references to Megan Thee Stallion's shooting incident surfaced, drawing criticism from fans and commentators alike.

In the song, part of his upcoming album ‘The Death of Slim Shady,’ Eminem raps, "If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me/Would I really have a shot at a feat?"

The lyric directly alludes to the 2020 incident where Megan was shot in the feet by Tory Lanez.

Social media erupted with backlash, with fans expressing dismay and condemnation.

One fan exclaimed, "F*** this guy. Men love to bring up traumatic moments in women’s lives for attention. Leave Megan alone."

Others echoed similar sentiments, labeling Eminem's lyric as "disgusting."

Furthermore, Eminem's track also takes aim at other celebrities, including RuPaul, Sherri Papini, and R. Kelly, stirring additional controversy.

The song notably features Eminem referring to his children with ex-wife Kim Scott as "brats," a comment that has drawn attention, especially given his recent appearance at his eldest daughter's wedding.

Despite the anticipation surrounding Eminem's new musical era, "Houdini" has sparked significant debate and criticism online.
