Kate Middleton may attend Trooping the Colour despite cancer battle

The Princess of Wales has withdrawn from the Trooping the Colour review but might attend the main celebration.

The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is reportedly considering a surprise appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony during this year's Trooping the Colour, according to the Daily Mirror.

Kate, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer, has stepped back from public duties this year to focus on her recovery.

While aides stress that Kate will only return to her royal duties with her doctors' approval, Kensington Palace remains confident in her full recovery.

It was confirmed that she will not attend the Colonel's Review on June 8, a traditional rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, as she would typically take the salute in her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards.

However, it is still uncertain whether she will attend the main event on June 15.

The Daily Mirror reports that if Kate cannot join the main review, she may still appear on the Palace balcony alongside other senior royals to watch the traditional RAF Flypast.

Kate has requested privacy for her family since announcing her diagnosis on March 22.

Few updates have been given, though Prince William recently shared a positive update, stating, "she's doing well."

Last year, Kate and Prince William watched the red arrow display with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with other senior royals, also attended.

This year, King Charles and Queen Camilla are the only confirmed attendees, but Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward are expected to join the parade on horseback.

The King will conduct the review from a carriage, reflecting recent health advisories.
