Kim Kardashian to star in legal drama inspired by her divorce lawyer

Kim Kardashian to play a divorce lawyer in new series inspired by her own trips down the aisle (and back).

Kim Kardashian is taking her reality TV experience to a scripted series. The mogul is set to star in a new Hulu show playing a high-powered divorce lawyer, and the inspiration for the character comes surprisingly close to home: her own attorney, Laura Wasser.

During a recent episode of "The Kardashians," Kardashian revealed her long-standing relationship with Wasser, who represented her in both her divorce from Kris Humphries and her more recent split from Kanye West.

The reality star joked about the nature of their bond, telling producer Ryan Murphy, "There's even so many fun moments with Laura and I where I'm just like, 'Don't ever let me do this again!'" after her short-lived marriage to Humphries.

Wasser, known as a "disso queen" in Hollywood for her expertise in celebrity divorces, apparently didn't forget Kardashian's plea. "Then the next [divorce], she would be like 'Hi, you reminded me last time, don't ever let you do this again,'" Kardashian recounted with a laugh.

This glimpse into Kardashian's past relationship with marriage and her reliance on Wasser's legal counsel is likely to inform the upcoming Hulu series.

The show, which is expected to begin production later this year with a targeted premiere in early 2025, will reportedly feature Kardashian as the lead attorney in an all-female law firm.

The casting news comes alongside Kardashian's pursuit of a law degree. The reality star has stated her intention to take the bar exam in February 2025, potentially transitioning from reality TV starlet to courtroom lawyer in real life.
