PTI dismantling into small factions: Vawda

Says some black sheep patronizing the party

KARACHI:

Senator Faisal Vawda stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is beginning to fracture into smaller factions, speculating that the party may face further division. Speaking on the Express TV program “Kal Tak,” the senator criticized PTI for its involvement in the May 9 riots, and remarked that by posting a tweet about the 1971 tragedy, PTI has driven another nail into its coffin.

“It is my assessment that the party could be disbanded,” said Vawda, drawing a parallel with the disbandment of MQM London for similar reasons. He asserted that PTI’s actions have disillusioned its supporters, who no longer wish to be associated with violence and the fragmentation of the country.

Vawda also questioned the control of Imran Khan’s social media presence, suggesting that someone else is handling his account while he is in jail. “I don’t think Imran Khan has phone access in jail. Someone else is operating his account, even when he was out of jail, it was managed by others on his advice,” Vawda claimed.

He alleged that PTI is functioning like a mafia, with outside actors influencing its actions. “PTI is not calling the shots alone; some black sheep are patronizing it and the time has come to expose them,” he asserted.

Vawda further criticized those claiming to champion democracy, accusing them of having ulterior motives and being deeply involved in corruption. He said that the government is taking advantage of the ongoing conflict between two state institutions to bide its time.
