Matt Rife postpones tour dates due to medical concerns
Matt Rife, the 28-year-old comedian, has postponed several upcoming shows on his ProbleMATTic tour due to exhaustion and a medical emergency. Rife cancelled two sold-out shows in Bloomington, Indiana, on May 29, and announced that shows in Chicago and Nashville would also be rescheduled.
In an email to ticket holders, Rife's team revealed that he experienced extreme exhaustion and nearly fainted on his way to a show in Indiana. He is currently taking time off from touring for two weeks under the advice of his medical team.
The email assured fans that future tour dates would not be affected and that Rife will resume his tour on June 12th in Memphis. Rescheduled dates for the postponed shows in Chicago and Nashville have been announced, with refunds available for those unable to attend.
Rife apologised to his fans on social media for the cancellations, stating that he has never had to reschedule shows before despite his busy touring schedule. He expressed his hope for fans' understanding and assured them that refunds would be processed.
The comedian's ProbleMATTic tour, which began last year, has been a massive success, selling out venues across North America and Europe. Rife recently signed a two-special deal with Netflix and is developing a workplace comedy series. He first gained recognition through his self-produced comedy specials and acting roles in independent films and television shows.
